Dehumidier with Heat Recovery (DHR)

A DHR (Dehumidifier with Heat Recovery) is a whole house solution for improving a building’s internal climate by extracting air with excess moisture and other airborne contaminants and replacing it with fresh and filtered air.

Benefits of a DHR system

Simple Installation: Installed in hours rather than days, no building works or messy installation.
Retrofit or Newbuild: Minimal ducting is required, ideal for retrofit, and can be installed in new build homes too.
Non invasive: Only two small 150mm vents in your ceiling.
No emptying: Water is drained automatically.

No condensation: Removes up to 7 litres of moisture per day at UK conditions.

Laundry Drying: Damp air is quickly expelled, speeding up natural drying by 30%.
Summer Cooling: Replace warm internal air with cooler outdoor air, filtered for pollution and pollen.

DHR (Dehumidifier with Heat Recovery) vs PIV (Positive Input Ventilation)

DHR (Dehumidifier with Heat Recovery) and a PIV (Positive Input Ventilation) are both excellent systems that perform very well in tackling Condensation and Black Mould however the DHR offers more features and is more energy efficient (when taking into account re-heating a property) than a standard PIV system.

DHR Advantages versus a PIV

Heat Recovery: Recovers up to 88% of the heat from the air they extract from the property. The recovered heat is then reintroduced into the fresh, inbound air, which minimizes the amount of energy needed to reheat the air to maintain comfort.
Low Running Costs: Save approx £150 per annum * compared to a PIV as inbound air from a PIV needs to be reheated to get it back to the desired temperature.
